Weird Animal Modification of the Day

Scientists in Taiwan have bred fluorescent green pigs with fluorescent internal organs. They say the fluorescence will make it easier to monitor the process of stem cell treatments—the stem cells will glow. The story is covered fairly broadly, including on the BBC, Reuters, and the Associated Press (see the Canadian Globe and Mail). The pigs have a gene from a jellyfish.
