It’s been slow….
It’s been slow….
I think everyone took last week off. The news cycle still consists of the T-cell news, the upcoming Senate vote, the Maryland commission, and the story that stem cell researchers could be excommunicated. I haven’t blogged on the latter, because as a non-Catholic I don’t have any sense of how much weight this threat carries for embryonic stem cell researchers who are Catholic. It seems like it’s a pretty personal thing, and Catholic researchers will have to make their own decisions. It’s certainly not a public policy issue, and it probably is in keeping with prior Church positions, so I’m not going to spout off about it.
I would be happy to spout off about something else, but the newsmakers themselves are lying low. I hope this week has a little more action! The Senate is doing Homeland Security today. There’s some other pending business related to retirement and insurance for small companies. My family is away this week, so I can check in whenever I feel like it, and I’ll let you know when things come up.
